Army General faces N150 million lawsuit over alleged assault of civilian

A disturbing incident involving a senior Nigerian Army officer, Major General G.S. Mohammed, has sparked outrage across the country after a video showing him and his men allegedly assaulting a civilian for overtaking their convoy in traffic went viral.
The victim, who sustained injuries, including damage to his left eye, is now taking legal action against the officer. He is demanding N150 million in compensation and calling for the dismissal of Major General Mohammed.
According to eyewitnesses, the assault occurred when the civilian’s attempt to overtake the military convoy led to an altercation. The officer and his subordinates reportedly resorted to physical violence, leaving the civilian battered and humiliated.
