Arsenal, Liverpool battle for Dean Huijsen

Arsenal and Liverpool are in pole position to sign defender Dean Huijsen, with a decision on his future expected in the coming days.
The 20-year-old, who has drawn widespread interest following a standout season, is now likely to choose between two of the Premier League’s top clubs, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg.
Real Madrid remain keen on securing Huijsen, though their pursuit appears less advanced compared to the English duo. The Dutch defender’s £50 million release clause is a substantial sum, but it can be paid in three instalments, making the move more manageable.
While Bayern Munich had been linked with the player, a transfer to the Bundesliga giants seems unlikely at this stage. Time is not on Bayern’s side, and in order to fund a deal for the centre-back, they would need to make some significant sales — a process that has not yet materialised.
Instead, their focus is shifting to Jonathan Tah, who is available as a free agent. With clubs circling and the transfer window fast approaching, Huijsen’s future will soon be decided, with Arsenal and Liverpool currently leading the race to land the highly-rated youngster.
