Asake alleged school teacher breaks silence amid family controversy

A Nigerian man claiming to be the nursery school teacher of singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has spoken out amid the ongoing rift between the artist and his father.
The controversy erupted after Asake’s father publicly pleaded for assistance, revealing he was battling a stroke. However, instead of addressing the plea, Asake shared a cryptic video online, which many interpreted as mockery.
As the situation gained traction, fresh claims surfaced, alleging that Asake’s mother abandoned him at the age of three, leaving him in his father’s care. Adding to the discussion, the alleged nursery school teacher stepped forward, sharing details that seemingly support these claims.
Taking to Facebook, he recounted his experience with Asake’s family, describing the singer’s father as a kind and responsible man who single-handedly raised his son. He further alleged that Asake’s mother left to marry another musician, visiting only occasionally.
He wrote:
“One fact about Malo, Asake’s father, is that he was a very nice man—not just to his son but to everyone, including me as his alleged nursery school teacher. Malo never walked alone; he was always surrounded by people.”
“He was a caring father who raised his son alone after Asake’s mother got married to Musibau Alani, also known as Omokekere. Although she visited him in school occasionally, Asake lived with his father, not his mother.”
He also claimed that his brother, who owned the nursery school, was responsible for enrolling Asake at Ebute Ero Primary School.
Concluding his statement, he cautioned people in Mushin, where Asake grew up, against spreading false narratives, asserting that he knew the real story.
While Asake and his mother have yet to respond to these allegations, the revelations have sparked heated debates online, with netizens sharing divided opinions.
