Breaking: Anambra APC guber aspirant withdraws from race


The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that Chukwuma Umeoji, an aspirant in the upcoming gubernatorial primary election in Anambra state, has withdrawn from the race.
In a statement issued by Felix Morka, National Publicity Secretary of the APC, the party confirmed that Umeoji had informed them of his decision to withdraw from the election, citing consultations with his supporters across the state.
The APC has expressed gratitude to Umeoji for his aspiration and dedicated support, hoping he will continue to work towards the party’s victory in the November 8, 2025, Anambra state gubernatorial election.
Umeoji’s withdrawal comes on the eve of the primary election, which has generated significant interest in the state. The APC is expected to announce its gubernatorial candidate for the Anambra state election after the primary.
