Breaking: Court declares jurisdiction to hear case of Ado Bayero in Kano’s Emirship tussle

The presiding judge of the Federal High Court in Kano, Justice Liman Mohammed, has ordered that dethroned Emir, Aminu Ado Bayero, has the right to be heard in court.
The Kano state government had initially asked the court to restrain Bayero and the other emirs from claiming their titles and performing any related duties.
This decision comes shortly after a Kano State High Court ordered substituted service on Bayero and four other emirs, in a case filed by the Kano State Government to prevent them from parading themselves as emirs.
