Breaking: FEC approves tripartite committee to simplify visa acquisition

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the establishment of a tripartite committee tasked to streamlining visa processes and acquisition, aiming to facilitate easier entry for foreign investors and tourists.
Muhammad Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, disclosed this decision on Tuesday, May 14, during a press briefing at the State House, Abuja.
He stressed the importance of simplifying visa procedures to enhance the ease of doing business in Nigeria.
Idris stated, “Our visa processes are becoming cumbersome. The ease of doing business is also tied to our visa processes. Going forward, those investors, tourists would find it easy to acquire a visa within the next 48 hours,”.
The minister had earlier informed journalists that the meeting, which commenced on Monday, was postpone till Tuesday to allow for additional “far-reaching” decisions.
