Breaking: NECO releases long-awaited results for 2024 Unity School Exams


The National Examination Council (NECO) has announced the results of the 2024 Common Entrance Examination for Unity schools, with a remarkable achievement of at least 13 students scoring a perfect score of 01.
At a press briefing on Tuesday, Minister of State for Education Dr. Yusuf Sununu unveiled the examination results and shared key findings.
A total of 71,291 students sat for the 2024 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) on June 1, across 599 centers. NECO’s data analysis revealed that Lagos State had the highest participation with 17,751 candidates, followed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with 10,209, and Anambra State with 4,972 candidates.
Dr. Sununu reported that 4,360 candidates were absent, while 66,931 took the exam. One candidate achieved the highest score of 203 out of the obtainable 210.
The minister confirmed that the admission process will stick to the long-standing policy of awarding 60% of spots based on merit.
