CAN hails Gombe LG boss over inclusivity of Christians in governance

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has commended the chairman of Gombe local government, Barrister Sani Haruna for ‘his openness and willingness’ to work with the Christian community.
Gombe local government CAN chairman, Reverend G. Amos, made the commendation when he led Christian clergymen on Christmas homage to the local government boss.
He expressed his appreciation for Haruna’s inclusive approach, which he said has enabled pastors to interact with the local government.
Amos stated that the Christian community is happy to identify with Haruna’s administration and expressed their support.
In his response, the local government chairman, Haruna, promised to collaborate with religious leaders and traditional leaders to execute projects that benefit the people.
He assured of provision of adequate security to the Christian community in the area during the upcoming new year celebrations.
