Chelsea book Champions League spot with gritty victory against Nottingham Forest
By Gideon Ayeni

Chelsea have sealed their return to the UEFA Champions League after securing a crucial 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on the final day of the season.
The decisive goal came early in the second half, courtesy of Levi Colwill, whose composed finish proved enough to hand the Blues all three points. From then on, it was a disciplined and determined defensive display from Enzo Maresca’s side, who held firm under pressure to preserve the lead.
The win ensures Chelsea finish in the Premier League’s top five, meeting Maresca’s key target for the season and confirming their place among Europe’s elite next campaign.
The result marks a significant achievement for the London club, especially after many doubted their chances of qualifying for Europe’s biggest competition following an inconsistent start to the season. But under Maresca’s guidance, Chelsea rallied impressively, ending the campaign on a high note.
The entire starting XI earned praise for their performances, with fans and pundits alike hailing the grit and character shown when it mattered most. With Champions League football now secured, attention will turn to how Chelsea strengthen ahead of Conference league final against Real Betis on Wednesday, May 28
