Construction firm sued for land encroachment in Gombe

A construction company in Gombe State known as ‘Grandscope Construction Limited’ has been sued for alleged trespassing of land in Gombe State.
The company was sued at the state high court by the Emir General Integrated Limited which alleged that the disputed land portion belongs to it.
Counsel to the complainant, Barrister Sulaiman Abdurrahim, said the case was brought before the court by the Emir General integrated limited seeking legal redress against Grandscope Construction Limited for unauthorised trespass of its property.
He revealed that they already got a court order restraining the defendant whether by itself, agents, workmen, labourers, employers, or representatives, from further entering, erecting structure or commencing constructions work on the property in dispute.
While Counsel to the defendant, Barrister Garba Bin Ali Subi, stated that the case was mentioned and they would go through it and prepare their response within the period of the adjournment.
Presiding judge, Justice Fatima Musa who adjourned the sitting fixed 17th February 2025 as the new date for next appearance.
