Council mobilises students for FG loan in Kano

The Kano State chapter of the All Progressives Congress Students Council on Monday, held a press conference to raise awareness and educate students from higher institutions in the state about the benefits and application process of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund.
Yahaya Usman, Director General of the council, expressed his appreciation for President Bola Tinubu’s initiative in introducing the loan programme, designed to provide vital support to students in realizing their full potential and making their dreams a reality.
The media briefing, which took place at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Press Centre, represented the initial phase of the council’s efforts to educate students about the loan programme and guide them through the application process.
The Director of Finance, Najmuddin Mukhtar, said the council targeted students from the 44 Local Government Areas of the state in the loan application process.
The briefing featured a PowerPoint presentation on filling the NELFUND loan application online, to ensure the students were conversant with the process.
The Director of Campaign for Gawuna/Garo 2024 Kano Gubernatorial Elections, Alhaji Suleiman Bichi, urged students to utilise the opportunity to accomplish their goals
Fa’izu Alfindiki, the former Chairman of Kano Municipal Local Government Area, encouraged students to seize the opportunity by taking the necessary steps to apply for the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) loan.
He praised the APC administration for its visionary approach and dedication to transforming and elevating the educational sector to unprecedented levels of excellence.
