Customs impounds arms, ammunition worth N2bn from Turkey

The Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adeniyi, has revealed a significant seizure of arms and ammunition, originating from Turkey.
At a press briefing at the Nigerian Customs Service, Area 2 Command in Onne, Rivers State, on Monday, Adeniyi disclosed that customs officials had intercepted a 40-foot container containing the weapons at the Onne Ports.
The operation also resulted in the seizure of drugs worth over N2 billion, in addition to the arms and ammunition valued at over N2 billion, totaling a massive N4 billion haul.
