Dele Momodu speaks amid university admission age requirement

Renowned publisher and journalist, Dele Momodu, has joined the chorus of voices opposing the recent directive by President Bola Tinubu’s administration, which stipulates that only individuals aged 18 and above can take the National Examination Council (NECO) and West African Examination Council (WAEC) exams.

Momodu took to Instagram to express his concerns, citing the remarkable story of Dr. Dorothy Jean Tillman, who achieved a doctoral degree in integrated behavioral health from Arizona State University’s College of Health Solutions at just 17 years old.

He questioned the logic behind the government’s decision, asking what students who typically graduate from secondary school at 15 or 16 should do with their time while waiting to meet the age requirement for university entrance exams.
