Nigerian music superstar, Davido, has taken to social media to express his frustration and disappointment over the logistical challenges marreding the Edo State governorship election.

Later, Davido revealed his personal connection to Edo State, stating, “My mom is from Edo… but we as Nigerians should be concerned… @inecnigeria shame on you.” He shared his previous experiences with INEC’s inefficiencies, mentioning his multiple complaints that led to improvements in Osun State’s election.

Davido’s outburst echoes the sentiments of many Nigerians, who are growing increasingly frustrated with the country’s electoral process. The Edo election has been plagued by issues, including delayed arrival of INEC officials, voting materials, and technical glitches.
As one of Nigeria’s most influential voices, Davido’s critique adds to the mounting pressure on INEC to address its shortcomings and ensure free, fair, and credible elections.
