Eno sacks Ibom power company MD


Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno, has sacked the Managing Director and Chief Executive of the state owned Ibom Power Company Limited, Meyen Etukudoh.
The governor’s decision was announced, Thursday, in a statement by Prince Enobong Uwah, Secretary to the State Government.
The statement noted that the removal from office was with immediate effect.
The statement read, “As part of ongoing restructuring exercise of this administration, to align with the machinery of government in the power sector, to the ARISE agenda, Governor Eno has relieved Managing Director of Ibom Power Company Limited, Engr. Etukudoh of his appointment with immediate effect from November 14, 2024.
“Etukudoh is, therefore, directed to handover to the commissioner, Ministry of Power, who will oversee the company till further notice. The governor, expresses gratitude to the Managing Director for his services to the state and wishes him success in his future endeavours.”
