Ex-Super Eagles winger announced dead

Former Super Eagles winger Okwuchukwu ‘Allen’ Waobikeze has passed away.
The announcement comes just days after the death of ex-Super Eagles captain and goalkeeper Peter Rufai, adding to the recent sorrow within the Nigerian football community.
Although he had limited appearances for the Super Eagles, Waobikeze played for several clubs, including Sharks FC of Port Harcourt, BCC Lions of Gboko, and Iwuanyanwu Nationale, now known as Heartland FC.
The sad news of Waobikeze’s passing was confirmed on Monday by his brother, Eli Waobikeze, who shared a heartfelt statement on his Facebook account. In his message, Eli expressed gratitude for the support received during this difficult time.
“On behalf of the Waobikeze family, I would like to announce the peaceful passing to eternal glory of my brother Allen Okwuchukwu Waobikeze. He transitioned at about 7:34 pm. We appreciate everyone who prayed, called, and visited my brother Okwuchukwu Waobikeze. Every funeral arrangement will be posted,” Eli stated.
