FG halts $300 helicopter landing levy

The Nigerian Federal Government has temporarily suspended the enforcement of the $300 helicopter landing fee due to protests from helicopter operators.
The fee, managed by a consultant named Messers NAEBI Dynamic Concept Limited, has faced backlash from industry stakeholders.
Mr. Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, announced the suspension, citing the need for further review.
A committee has been formed to address the concerns raised and is expected to submit its findings by the end of June 2024.
As of May 30, 2024, the helicopter landing fee has been put on hold, awaiting the committee’s review and recommendations.
