Fubara deputy denies fresh resignation rumours

The Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Professor Ngozi Nma Ordu, has once again dismissed widespread rumours suggesting she has resigned from her position.
Her media aide, Owepele Benibo, described the reports as entirely false and misleading. He urged the public to disregard the speculation, emphasizing that the Deputy Governor remains committed to her role in the administration of Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
“The Deputy Governor has not resigned and is not considering resignation. She is fully engaged in ongoing efforts to promote peace and stability in the state,” Benibo stated.
This marks the second time in recent months that similar claims have surfaced. In March 2025, unverified reports circulated on Facebook alleging her resignation, which her team promptly debunked.
