Funke Akindele lauded after new movie with Lagos Fire Service

Nollywood icon and box office sensation, Funke Akindele, is receiving widespread praise for her latest initiative—partnering with the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service for her upcoming film.
Recent reports confirmed that the acclaimed actress and filmmaker is integrating the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service into her new movie, delivering on a promise she made during a visit to the agency in July.
During her courtesy visit to the Fire Service headquarters in Alausa last month, Akindele expressed a strong interest in collaboration. She revealed plans to weave fire prevention themes into her next project, aiming to raise public awareness about fire hazards and promote preventive measures across Lagos State.
Staying true to her commitment, Akindele has now included fire service officials in her forthcoming film. This exciting development was highlighted by Jubril Giwa, the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Lagos State Governor, who shared the news on his X (formerly Twitter) page.
“Renowned Nollywood Actress and CEO of Funke Akindele Network (FAAN), Funke Akindele features Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service in her upcoming movie, as promised,” Giwa posted.
