Gombe residents urged to demand quality projects from leaders

BY NAJIB SANI, GOMBE
BudgIT Foundation Tracka Gombe has called on Gombe State residents to demand legislators, implementing agencies, and contractors to deliver quality and timely projects in the state.
State Officer of the organisation, Barrister Martha Daniel, who gave the charge in a press release issued to our correspondent yesterday emphasised that the call was because of the gaps in quality of projects and delay in project delivery which she has observed during the tracking of projects particularly those located in the rural areas.
She explained that BudgIT, a civic-tech organisation promotes transparency and accountability, tracks public projects and provides budget access to citizens.
Martha commended those who have begun implementing 2024 budget projects and appreciated federal agencies, like the Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe, for their efforts.
She urged Nigerians to get involved in project tracking and budgeting processes to hold leaders accountable.
This is just as she encouraged the state residents to submit community needs through the following link and utilise BudgIT’s civic tech tools.
“Finally I urge Nigerians to maximize the Community Needs links https://bit.ly/SubmitYourCommunityNeed
to submit needs about their community, maximise the various civic tech tools made available by BudgIT Foundation and download the Tracka Mobile app.”, she stated.
