Governor Radda allocates 20m Naira to assist 39 fire disaster victims in Katsina

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has allocated 20 million naira to assist 39 victims of recent fire disasters in the state.
This initiative aligns with the State Government’s ongoing efforts to support vulnerable individuals during times of crisis.
The allocation coincides with the arrival of 38,828 fifty-kilogram bags of grains donated by the federal government. This marks the beginning of a nationwide program aimed at distributing 42,000 tonnes of commodities to those in need.
Governor Radda expressed profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for releasing the grains and reiterated his assurance of their targeted delivery to the intended beneficiaries.
The state government also supports those affected by banditry and kidnappings, providing food and financial assistance. Additionally, 40,000 free rice bags have been distributed to widows, elderly residents, and vulnerable individuals, alongside the subsidized sale of 78,000 more bags.
It could be recalled that during Ramadan, Governor Radda’s administration established 361 cooking centers to feed the less fortunate, exemplifying societal compassion and solidarity.
NEMA’s Director General’s representative, Dr. Ishaya Ishaq, explained that the donated maize, sorghum, and millet are part of President Tinubu’s national effort to address economic hardship. He emphasized ensuring fair distribution to maximize the impact on citizens’ lives.
Hajiya Binta Dangani, SEMA’s executive secretary, highlighted the substantial aid provided to over 350,000 vulnerable people under Governor Radda’s leadership. She emphasized the importance of local committees for transparent and equitable distribution.
The Radda led administration reiterated its unwavering commitment to the well-being of all Katsina residents, ensuring continued support for those in need.
