Group applauds Chiemeka’s appointment as NGX CEO

The Securities and Investment Empowerment Network has expressed its enthusiastic endorsement of the Nigerian Exchange Limited’s decision to appoint Jude Chiemeka as its substantive Chief Executive Officer.
In a statement released on Monday and obtained by our correspondent, the Securities and Investment Empowerment Network, a professional organization in the finance sector, praised the appointment of Jude Chiemeka as CEO of the Nigerian Exchange Limited, noting that his leadership is likely to foster increased market growth.
The Nigerian Exchange Group recently announced the appointment of Jude Chiemeka as Chief Executive Officer of the exchange, a move that received regulatory approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Before then, he had been leading the NGX in an acting capacity.
SIEN’s President, Dr Albert Ogunseyinde, stated that Chiemeka’s extensive experience provides him with a deep understanding of the complexities of the financial markets and the strategic vision needed to navigate them.
“Chiemeka’s appointment as CEO of NGX is a testament to his exceptional leadership abilities and extensive industry experience. His deep understanding of the financial markets, coupled with his strategic acumen, makes him the ideal person to lead NGX into a new era of growth and innovation.

Before his current role, Chiemeka was the Executive Director of Capital Markets at the exchange.
SIEN added that with Chiemeka’s resume, the NGX was expected to undergo significant advancements under his leadership.
“Chiemeka’s vision for NGX aligns with the broader objectives of positioning the exchange as a leading player in the global financial markets. The Nigerian Exchange Limited plays a crucial role in the nation’s economic development by facilitating capital formation and promoting investment opportunities.

Jude Chiemeka, a distinguished professional in the financial industry, holds esteemed memberships and fellowships with several prestigious organizations, including the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, where he serves on the Council, as well as the Institute of Directors and the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment in the United Kingdom.
