Gunmen disguised as EFCC operatives abduct hotel guests


Gunmen posing as operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have reportedly kidnapped ten guests from White Hill Hotel on Shiroro Road, Chanchaga Local Government Area of Niger State.
According to Sahara Reporters, the armed men stormed the hotel around 4:58 a.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2025. Before carrying out the abductions, they allegedly disabled the hotel’s CCTV cameras and forcibly entered multiple rooms, taking the victims to an undisclosed location.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police, State Intelligence Department, confirmed that investigations are ongoing to track down the assailants and rescue the abducted guests.
Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. However, as of the time of filing this report, an official statement from security agencies is yet to be released.
