Gunmen kidnap Afenifere youth leader, demand N100m ransom


Unknown gunmen have kidnapped Prince Eniola Joseph Ojajuni, the National President of the Afenifere National Youths Council.
According to the group, Ojajuni was kidnapped on Monday, and the kidnappers are demanding ₦100 million in ransom for his release, as revealed by National Secretary Abiodun Aderohunmu.
In the statement:”The Afenifere National Youths Council announced with deep sadness that its National President, Prince Eniola Joseph Ojajuni, was kidnapped in Abuja, Nigeria, with the kidnappers demanding a ransom of N100,000,000.
“Prince Ojajuni was shot in the buttock during the kidnapping and we are deeply concerned about his safety and well-being and urge the kidnappers to release him unharmed.
We urge the Nigerian authorities to take immediate action to secure Prince Ojajuni’s safe release and appeal to the public to provide any information that may lead to his rescue.
“The Afenifere National Youths Council will continue to work tirelessly to ensure Prince Ojajuni’s safe return and advocate for the safety and security of all Nigerians.
“The kidnapping occurred on February 17, during which the President was shot twice and sustained bullet wounds, with the kidnappers demanding N100 million in ransom.
It was unclear whether anyone was injured or killed during the kidnapping, as this information could not be confirmed.
