Hoodlums set Olowu’s Palace on fire in Osun

The Palace of Olowu of Araromi-Owu in Ayedaade local Government of Osun State has been burnt by some hoodlums over kingship tussle.
Cars and several houses were also set ablaze.
According to reports this happened on Tuesday following an alleged attack on one of the contestants to the stool of Olowu of Araromi-Owu.
As at the time of filling this report, dwellers are said to be in panic though the correspondent cannot confirm if any life was lost.
However, some security operatives were also said to have been ambushed and injured by those allegedly causing the crisis.
The State police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola who confirmed the unfortunate incident said Police tactical force and Mobile Force Unit have been mobilized to the area to prevent escalation of the crisis.
