In Zamfara, terrorists kidnap over 50 women


Bandits have stormed Kakin Dawa village under Gidan Goga District of Maradun local government in Zamfara state and kidnapped over 50 women.
Malam Musa Lawali Kakin Dawa, an eye witness told bewsmen via telephone interview that the bandits besieged the village around 1am Sunday with sophisticated weapons, began house- to- house searching.
“When they stormed the village, majority of men run for their safety as we knew that we are their target but only to discovered that over 50 of our women were kidnapped in the morning,” he said.
He added that the victim’s include young girls and married women.
He appealed to federal and Zamfara state governments to come to their assistance with security personnel in the area who will fight the bandits for the restoration of peace in the area.
“We are calling on the authorities to look into our situation by deploying more troops to our area to mitigate these dreaded terrorists as our lives are in serious danger at this moment,” he said.
However, efforts to reach the state police command public relations officer Asp. Yazid Abubakar failed.
