Kastina governor Dikko Radda mourns ex-Minister Onu

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda said Nigeria has lost a visionary, intellectual, modest and patriotic Nigerian in the death of Chief Ogbonnaya Onu.
Onu, the immediate-past Minister of Science and Technology, passed away Thursday in Abuja.
He was aged 72.
Chief Onu, who hailed from Ebonyi State, was the first civilian governor of Abia State.
Expressing deep grief over the loss of the erstwhile minister, Governor Radda, through a statement issued by his spokesperson, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, extolled Onu’s virtues as a gentle, selfless and iconic public servant.
“He truly served Nigeria as a federal cabinet member during the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, and his legacies of national service will remain indelible,” he said.
Governor Radda, however extended his heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Abia and Ebonyi states respectively, urging them to take solace in the fact that the late minister lived a fulfilled life in the service of the nation and humanity.
