Kogi First Lady’s aide empowers senior citizens in Agassa community

As part of efforts to improve the lives of elderly citizens in society, the First Lady of Kogi State, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, through her Special Adviser on Domestic Affairs, Mrs. Aliu Nana Ohunene, visited Ateba in Agassa community to distribute monetary gifts and relief items to senior citizens.
Speaking during the empowerment programme, Mrs. Aliu Nana Ohunene stated that the initiative was aimed at supporting the most vulnerable individuals within the area.
She expressed gratitude to God for giving her the strength to carry out the initiative and thanked Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo for entrusting her with the opportunity to serve in this capacity.
Mrs. Aliu emphasized that, with the First Lady’s backing, she had been able to positively impact numerous lives and bring meaningful transformation to households.
“I thank Almighty Allah for this opportunity and Her Excellency, Wife of Kogi State Governor, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo who has been a pillar to all of us in rendering assistance to the needy.
If you are with Her Excellency, you must extend hands of fellowship and this has been part of me.” She noted.
She assured the public that similar empowerment programmes would be extended to other communities across the central senatorial district of Kogi State as she called on the citizens to sustain their support for the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Several beneficiaries, in their remarks, expressed optimism that the support provided would significantly alleviate their hardships.
They commended Mrs. Aliu Nana Ohunene for her kindness and dedication to improving the well-being of the elderly.
