Lawmaker sponsors 105 weddings in Zamfara

House of Representatives member for Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency Abdulmalik Zubairu has supported the mass wedding of 105 girls orphaned by banditry in his constituency.
During the wedding ceremony led by Sheik Liman Musa Kura in Bungudu town, Zubairu explained that this initiative aims to support banditry victims.
“He emphasized that traditionally, parents handle marriage responsibilities, but as these girls are orphans, he chose to step in and provide assistance.
“To mark his first year in office, Zubairu provided beds, cushion chairs, utensils, and cash grants of N100,000 and N50,000 to each couple to help them start their new lives.
“He also thanked Senator Abdul’aziz Yari and Minister of State for Defence Bello Matawalle for their guidance and encouragement”.
Senator Kawu Sumaila, the special guest of honor, praised Zubairu’s initiative and encouraged him to continue his good work.
