Man caught defecating on Lagos road sparks outrage from Verydarkman

Controversial internet personality, Verydarkman, has expressed shock and frustration after witnessing a young man defecating openly on a busy road in Lagos, shortly after returning to Nigeria from China.
In a video now making rounds online, the activist—real name Martins Otse—was seen confronting the man, who had confidently eased himself in public without any regard for onlookers or his surroundings.
According to Verydarkman, he was en route from the airport when he saw the disturbing scene. He immediately stopped his vehicle and ordered the young man to pack up his own faeces with his bare hands—a task the man shockingly obeyed without resistance.
The social commentator didn’t stop there. He slammed Lagosians who, according to him, casually walked past the act without attempting to correct or challenge the offender.
“Lagos is truly smelling,” he said, referencing a recent viral comment made by a female corps member who had complained about the hygiene and odor in parts of the city.
Taking to his social media page, Verydarkman wrote:
“I just touched down Nigeria and this is the first thing I am seeing. Like what the fckkkk? The capital of Lagos and people didn’t even care. What the fckkkk is going on in this country? Has it gotten to the point where we don’t care about morals anymore? Has the country gotten this bad?”
His reaction has since stirred conversation online, with many Nigerians divided—some agreeing with him on the worsening state of public hygiene, while others criticized his method of handling the situation.
