Man detained for killing neighbor, son over sanitation dispute

A shocking incident has unfolded in the Lekki area of Lagos State, where a man is currently in police custody for allegedly murdering his neighbor, Gloria, and her son.
The brutal crime was reportedly sparked by a disagreement over environmental sanitation.
According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, the incident occurred on Sunday at approximately 10:50 p.m. The suspect, whose name has not been disclosed, allegedly killed Gloria and her son following an argument about cleaning their environment.
In a disturbing twist, the suspect attempted to dispose of the bodies by placing them in a large sack. However, his plan was foiled when other neighbors alerted the police at the Elemoro division
Upon receiving the information, detectives swiftly responded to the scene, apprehended the suspect, and recovered the bodies. The victims’ remains have been transferred to the Epe General Hospital mortuary for autopsy and preservation
The police are currently investigating the incident, and further details are expected to emerge in the coming days.
