Mr Macaroni slams Lagos commissioner for slapping man in public

Nigerian actor and comedian Adebowale Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has criticized Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Toke Benson, for allegedly assaulting a man attempting to film her in public.
In a viral video shared by Sahara Reporters, the commissioner was seen engaging in a confrontation with the man, during which she allegedly slapped him and tried to confiscate his phone. The footage sparked widespread condemnation on social media.
Reacting in a series of tweets, Mr Macaroni berated Benson’s actions, labeling her behavior as authoritarian and unbecoming of a public servant.
“Dear Mrs. Toke Benson, who do you think you are that you can’t be recorded?? Ok, Commissioner? And so what??” he began.
He further condemned her remarks questioning who pays the man’s salary, adding, “Is it your money? A public servant moving like a dictator… Saying you will break a citizen’s phone and actually moving to do so?? Outrageous!”

The comedian also expressed frustration at the entitlement displayed by officials in political office.
“It seems once you hold a political office in Nigeria, you become Lord and Master, and all citizens must become your slaves??” he tweeted.
He continues;
“The Audacity!!!
A public servant assaulting a citizen???
That’s like assaulting your boss at work!
Don’t you people have any leadership training???
Why do politicians see themselves as some sort of god to be worshipped??
This is Madness!!!
