Suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has reacted strongly to explosive allegations made by U.S.-based activist, Dr. Sandra Duru, also known as Prof. Mgbeke, accusing her of offering N200 million to fabricate claims of organ harvesting and sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Duru, during a live broadcast on Facebook on Thursday night, claimed she had submitted phone recordings and chat logs between her and Natasha to international authorities for forensic analysis. According to the activist, the evidence debunks Natasha’s earlier claim that she never had any contact with her.

Displaying alleged WhatsApp messages and call logs during the over one-hour livestream, Duru insisted Natasha not only orchestrated a false sexual harassment accusation against Akpabio but also offered her a hefty sum to publicly accuse the Senate President of being involved in the murder of a young woman, Iniubong Umoren, who died in 2021.

“She offered me N200 million to accuse Akpabio of organ harvesting,” Duru claimed. “She said she wasn’t getting anywhere with the sexual harassment angle, so she wanted to escalate it. She’s out to destroy men.”

Duru also alleged that Natasha referred to Nigerians as “Gullible and Hungry,” and revealed a mission to end what she reportedly described as a “Yoruba government.” She further claimed Natasha hoped to be rewarded with the governorship of Kogi State or the Ministry of Petroleum if her plan to bring down Akpabio succeeded.

“She said the real target isn’t Akpabio, but the President,” Duru alleged. “She said no sexual harassment took place and that she has no evidence whatsoever.”

But in a swift response posted to her verified social media handle, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan dismissed Duru’s claims as “crazy falsehoods,” accusing her of manipulating voice recordings to smear her reputation.

“I have carefully watched a livestream which was done by one Sandra C. Duru on Facebook, on May 1st, 2025. The content of the livestream including the voice effect credited to me are entirely untrue, and most manipulated to serve Sandra Duru’s ulterior motive of playing the script of Senator Godswill Akpabio,” Natasha stated.

She denied ever using derogatory terms like “Gullible and Hungry” against Nigerians or respected figures like Dr. Oby Ezekwesili and Dr. Abiola, saying such remarks never emanated from her.

“It was from recent research that I also found out that the person who now represents herself as Sandra Duru is the same person who operated as Prof. Mgbeke on Facebook,” she added, promising a full response in due time.

While Duru has already submitted petitions to international security agencies, including the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the Nigerian Police, and U.S. authorities, Natasha maintains that the entire narrative is a politically motivated smear campaign.
