NIWA boss tours OCEA shipyard, River Thames in London


The Managing Director/CEO of National Inland. Waterways Authority (NIWA) Bola Oyebamiji FCIB, was on an inspection visit to OCEA Shipyard, the company that specializes in design, construction, manufacturing and support of aluminium fast ferries in London.
The MD was received by Mr Geoff Symonds (Chief Operating Officer, OCEA) for a strategic Investment Business meeting at Foyer of Chelsea Harbour Hotel, London.
The visit is to collaborate with the company, on the construction of fibre boats as the Authority is proposing the gradual phasing out of particularly commercial wooden boats in the country to curtail the incessant boat mishaps.
Oyebamiji, also visited Boat at Thames River by Chelsea Harbour Pier, North Bank of United Kingdom.
The Managing Director was accompanied by some Management staff of NIWA; Umar Yusuf Gerie (GM-Finance/Account), Engr. Horsefall Dakio (GM-Marine Services) and Engr. Sarat Briamah (Lagos Area Manager).
Also in the entourage is Hon. Oluwaseun Osiyemi Commissioner of Transportation Lagos State, Mr Damilola Emmanuel (MD LASWA)and Mr. Yemi Aluko (MD/CEO MYSTROSE), Hon Yinka Ajayi (ED General Council MYSTROSE)
