Nollywood veteran exposes ‘fake’ lavish lifestyles among actors

Veteran Nollywood actor Bimbo Manuel has sparked conversation with his candid remarks about the luxury lifestyles flaunted by some Nigerian actors.
Speaking on TVC’s Your View, Manuel claimed that it’s nearly impossible for actors in Nigeria to afford high-end purchases, like a Range Rover, through acting fees alone.
“The actors you see showing off Range Rovers and mansions in places like Ikoyi are living fake lives,” Manuel stated during the episode. “No actor in Nigeria would honestly say they can afford a Range Rover solely from acting fees.”
At 66, the respected actor noted that he prefers a humble and realistic lifestyle and remains unfazed by the pressure to display opulence. He expressed that his focus is on enjoying a meaningful, grounded life rather than trying to keep up with “fake” standards.
