NUJ election: Bauchi council congratulates Yahaya over victory

The working Journalists of Bauchi State has felicitated with the newly elected National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Alhassan Yahaya over his victory at the just concluded 8th Triennial National Delegates Conference, held at Owerri, the Imo State Capital.
According to a Press release jointly issued by Comrade Umar Sa’idu and Isah Garba Gadau, Chairman and Secretary respectively of the NUJ, Bauchi State Council which was made available to Journalists Thursday, says the Bauchi Council had anticipated the victory of Alhassan and Abimbola long before the election date, knowing their, competency, popularity and wide acceptance by members across the 36 councils and FCT.
“On behalf of the entire working Journalists of Bauchi State, the chairman, Comrade Umar Sa’idu felicitates with the newly elected National President of our great union, Comrade Alhassan Yahaya over his resounding victory at the just concluded 8th Triennial National Delegates Conference, held at Owerri, the Imo State Capital.
“The council equally congratulates the Deputy National President, Dr. Abimbola Oyetunde and all other elected officials especially the election of Abubakar Musa Waziri from the state as the Zonal Secretary in-Charge of Zone E for the well deserved victory”.
While expressing optimism in the capacity of the new president and his team, the union urged the president to deploy his God-given talent in the discharge of his assigned responsibilities for the continuous growth and development of the NUJ.
The Bauchi Council, in addition, commended the immediate past National President, Chief Chris Isiguzo MFR, for providing a level playing ground for all the candidates as well as the achievements the union recorded under his watch, praying for the new leadership to consolidate on the achievements of the past leaders, to place NUJ in a better position.
