Victor Osimhen, the 26-year-old Galatasaray striker, has reacted to allegations that he physically assaulted a Turkish journalist after a UEFA Europa League match.
According to Turkish media outlet Posta, the incident unfolded late Thursday night in Istanbul when Osimhen and his entourage were leaving an exclusive venue. Journalist Tolga Bozduman alleged that the altercation began when photographers attempted to capture the football star.
“When the camera flashes went off, all hell broke loose,” Bozduman claimed. “Osimhen screamed, lunged at me, and punched me in the head when I tried to protect my camera.”
Bozduman further alleged that the footballer attempted to bribe him, saying, “Destroy the footage, I’ll give you money.” When he refused, Bozduman claimed Osimhen issued a threat, stating, “I’ll destroy you.”
The incident has sparked widespread reactions, with fans and the football community closely monitoring the situation.
Osimhen has yet to issue a formal statement addressing the allegations. However, he posted aa cryptic video on his Instagram story featuring Ghanaian comedian Akrobeto laughing sarcastically, leaving fans guessing about its intended message.
