Protesters in Katsina go spiritual on Day 6 of hunger protest

Some protesters in Katsina State on Tuesday were seen praying at the scene of protest.
The protesters were praying against the lingering economic hardship, insecurity and poor governance facing the country.
During the prayers, widely attended by all genders amidst tight security, residents reportedly peacefully conducted themselves.
The residents prayed for Almighty Allah to bring an end to the lingering economic hardship, hunger, insecurity, and poor governance among other silent challenges facing the country.
Participants, however, asked Almighty Allah to eliminate all persons who have a connection with the lingering problems that gave birth to the protest which, according to them are mostly politicians, traditional title holders, business class, security personnel, clerics, the rich and even the poor persons in the society.
The residents performed Al-Qunut Prayer, a type of supplication offered during prayer at a specific point while standing.
Al-Qunut is a type of recommended prayer especially when a calamity befalls Muslims.
