Sanwo-Olu announces N100,000 bonus for corps members

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday, announced a N100,000 bonus for each of the 4,277 corps members serving in the state, totaling N427.7 million.
Sanwo-Olu declared that N100,000 will be paid to every corps member.
He also declared a donation of N100 million to the NYSC and its support staff.
The governor spoke at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 orientation course for 4,277 corps members in Lagos, held at the NYSC camp, Iyana Ipaja area of the state.
The governor also approved the sum of N5 billion for the building of NYSC permanent site in Igando area of the state.
The Governor announced that 100 corps members will be absorbed into the state’s public service immediately after their service year.
He urged the corps members to engage with local communities, address challenges, and contribute to meaningful projects, emphasizing the importance of applying the lessons of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork learned during their orientation.
