Social media regulation dangerous — MC Lively

Nigerian skitmaker, Micheal Amanesi, known professionally as Mc Lively, is of the opinion that regulating social media is a dangerous move.
According to him on Sunday “The problem with things like regulation in Nigeria is the people in charge of the regulation.”
He added, “It could easily turn to a witch-hunt against content creators or a way for government to silence citizens.”
He also said, “That is what makes regulation of social media dangerous. It is important for people to have freedom with creativity, as that is the only way be which creatives can rise to the pinnacle of expression.”
When questioned about his approach to dealing with negative social media feedback, the multi-talented lawyer and content creator responded, “People will always talk; it is the nature of humans. However, I am fortunate, because I got used to negative comments early in life. I attended the Obafemi Awolowo University, where banter is the order of the day. So, I try to take it in my stride and move on, as hard or hurtful as it may be. But, when it comes to constructive criticism, I take those and work on myself.”
Speaking on the inspiration behind his new project— The Reunion—, he said “The idea was brought up by one of my writers, who wrote a synopsis about secondary school reunions, and the things that happen there. When I saw it, I loved it and went to work. The necessary edits were made, and decided that we wanted it to be a university reunion, so it could be more relatable to people. We then went on to flesh out scripting, casting, and production crew.”
