Timilehin Ajayi seen praying in court during murder trial

Gospel singer Timilehin Ajayi, who is standing trial for the alleged brutal murder of his 24-year-old girlfriend, Salome Adaidu, was spotted in court on a Tuesday, praying solemnly before the proceedings resumed.
The ongoing trial, which continued on Tuesday, has captured public attention due to the gruesome nature of the case and the personalities involved. Ajayi was arrested on January 12 in connection with the killing of Salome, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member who was serving with Nicon Insurance in Abuja at the time of her death.
According to reports, the young corps member was murdered during a visit to Ajayi’s residence in the Papalana area of New Karshi, within Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. Authorities allege that the singer was caught attempting to dispose of Salome’s dismembered body when he was apprehended.
During interrogation, Ajayi reportedly showed no sign of remorse. Instead, he allegedly accused Salome of repeated acts of infidelity, which he claimed led to his actions.
However, a recent video circulating online has stirred mixed reactions, as it shows the accused gospel artiste deeply engaged in prayers within the court premises.
The scene has added a dramatic twist to the case, with many questioning the sincerity of his spiritual display given the severity of the allegations against him.
