Tragedy as prince of Zazzau dies in road accident
Alhaji Umar Shehu Idris Dan-Isa Zazzau, a prince of the Zazzau Emirate, has tragically passed away in a road accident along the Abuja-Kaduna expressway on Tuesday evening.
The news of his death was confirmed by the Emirate’s spokesman, Mal Abdullahi Aliyu Kwarbai.
The 41-year-old prince, who served as the assistant secretary of the Emirate Council, is survived by his wife and two children. His sudden death has plunged the royal family and the Emirate into mourning.
This heartbreaking incident comes just 40 days after the death of Hajiya Habiba Shehu Idris, the prince’s mother and the mother of the current Emir of Zazzau, Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli.
The Emirate Council is expected to announce details of the funeral prayers in due course.
