Tragedy strikes as truck kills 9 family

In a devastating incident, a truck lost control and crashed into a residential compound in Okete Village, Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State, claiming the lives of nine members of a single family.

The tragic event unfolded in the early hours of Thursday, according to the Benue State Police Command. Confirming the incident, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Sewuese Anene, described the accident as deeply unfortunate and assured the public that a comprehensive investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the crash.

“The command is fully committed to uncovering the circumstances that led to this tragic loss of lives,” Anene stated. She further noted that additional details would be shared with the public as the investigation progresses.
