Unilorin sets deadline for certificate collection

The University of Ilorin (Unilorin) has issued a strict ultimatum for graduates to collect their unclaimed certificates, introducing penalties for late compliance.
In a statement released on Sunday by M.A. Alfanla, the institution announced that Friday, January 17, 2025, is the final date for all graduates—undergraduate and postgraduate—to retrieve their certificates.
The university warned that failure to meet this deadline would attract a penalty of ₦3,000 for each week of delay.
Graduates are required to present essential documents for seamless collection, including proof of convocation fee payment, the original Statement of Result, and a valid Student Identification Card.
“The University Management has observed that many certificates remain unclaimed. We strongly urge all affected graduates to collect their certificates before January 17, 2025, to avoid penalties,” the statement read.
