VIDEO: Outrage as Reps member struggles to express himself

A dramatic scene unfolded recently in the House of Representatives when Hon. Adigun Abass, representing Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency in Oyo State, visibly struggled to express himself while attempting to present a motion.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmaker faced difficulty articulating his points, prompting Speaker Tajudeen Abbas to intervene and provide guidance. Despite the Speaker’s assistance, Hon. Abass continued to falter, failing to deliver his motion coherently.
Following several unsuccessful attempts, the Speaker permitted him to return to his seat, effectively cutting short his presentation.

The incident quickly went viral on social media, drawing sharp criticism from Nigerians who questioned the qualifications and communication skills of some representatives elected to the National Assembly. Many users expressed frustration, calling for more stringent vetting of candidates vying for public office to ensure they possess the necessary competence to represent their constituents effectively.
Hon. Adigun Abass has yet to issue a public statement addressing the incident or responding to the growing criticism.
