VIDEO: Verydarkman apologizes to Nigerian police over unauthorized use of uniform

Controversial social media activist, Verydarkman, has issued a public apology to the Nigerian Police Force following a recent incident involving his unauthorized use of a police uniform.
The activist previously surprised many by appearing online dressed in a police-style uniform, dubbing himself a “social media police” dedicated to sanitizing the online community. This move, however, drew the attention of the Nigerian Police, who promptly cautioned him against using their attire without approval.
In a new video circulating online, Verydarkman expressed regret over the incident, clarifying that his uniform was merely a similar look-alike and that his actions were not intended to impersonate or mock law enforcement.
“Back from the police station where I was interrogated based on the post I made wearing a costume that the police claim is similar to theirs,” he shared, stressing that he had no intent to impersonate. He added, “I tender my unreserved apologies to the Nigeria Police Force and the office of the Inspector General of Police.” Verydarkman also urged the public to seek proper authorization before using any attire that may resemble official uniforms, underscoring the importance of compliance to prevent potential misuse.
The activist concluded by appreciating the Nigerian Police Force for their dedication to protecting lives and properties and extended gratitude to his lawyer, Adeyanju Deji, for his support throughout the process.
