VIDEO: Verydarkman sparks debate over Chidimma Adetshina’s miss universe Nigeria win

Verydarkman, a renowned critic, has weighed in on the recent Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant, where Chidimma Adetshina emerged victorious.
In a video, he expressed his disapproval of Chidimma’s win, stating that it was a pity vote rather than a merit-based decision.
Chidimma, who faced backlash and withdrew from Miss South Africa 2024, represented Taraba State in the Nigerian competition. Verydarkman argued that her win diminishes the efforts of other contestants who had prepared for the pageant all year.
He questioned the fairness of the decision, saying, “Because the girl had a small problem in South Africa, you invited her to Nigeria to become Miss Universe. What about those who have been preparing for this for a long time? You gave it to her out of pity, not merit; this is not fair.”
Verydarkman also highlighted Chidimma’s inability to speak the language of Taraba State, despite her Nigerian roots, and her initial absence from Nigeria until her issue in South Africa arose.

His comments have sparked a heated debate, with some agreeing that Chidimma’s win was undeserved, while others defend her victory, citing her qualifications and performance in the competition.
