Vigilantes nab another notorious terrorist leader

A joint operation by local vigilantes and the Katsina Community Watch Corps (CWC), arrested a terrorist leader Sani Wala Burki, responsible for terrorizing the Safana and Batsari Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Katsina State, has been arrested.

According to reports, Burki and several of his men were neutralized by security forces in a joint operation by local vigilantes and the Katsina Community Watch Corps.

The incident occurred last night when Burki and his group attempted yet another attack, targeting innocent civilians in Safana. In response, the vigilantes groups mounted a coordinated defense, successfully engaging the armed group.

According to local residents, the operation ended with Burki and several members of his gang killed.

Sani Wala Burki was a prominent figure in the wave of attacks that had long plagued Safana and Batsari LGAs, leading to fear and instability in the region.
