Real Madrid trained this Thursday with Mbappe and Vinicius. Both trained with the rest of their teammates without any problems and are aiming to reach 100% for the match against Celta.

Mbappe and Vinicius completed training with the rest of their team-mates on Thursday, after having followed an individualised plan in the previous days, to prepare for the game against Celta Vigo this Sunday at the Santiago Bernabeu (14:00 CET).

Both strikers reduced their previous workload with the aim of reaching 100% for the league game, especially Mbappe who left behind the sprained right ankle he suffered in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Arsenal, which prevented him from playing three consecutive games and led to his substitution in the “Clasico”, which changed with his entry from the bench after the break.

With eight days rest between games, as Real Madrid were eliminated from the Champions League, Mbappe has fully recovered ahead of the final stretch of La Liga in which he will fight for the trophy for top scorer of the competition, currently three goals behind Robert Lewandowski, and, above all, for the championship title, for which Ancelotti’s side are four points behind Barcelona with five games to play.

And one of them is crucial, on Sunday 11 May at the Estadio Olímpico Lluís Companys. Before that, Real Madrid will host Celta Vigo this Sunday with a defence short of manpower -Lucas Vazquez, Asencio, Vallejo and Fran Garcia-; therefore, the Italian coach had four defenders from the youth academy in training.

Centre-backs Jacobo Ramon and Mario Rivas, right-back Lorenzo Aguado and left-back Youssef Enriquez “Yusi” were all part of the first-team dynamic, as well as another outfield player from the academy, midfielder Chema.
