What Nigerians should know about the newly appointed FRSC Corp Marshal Mohammed


Shehu Mohammed, the newly appointed Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) under the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) was born May 29, 1966. Mohammed hails from Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Prior to his present appointment, the FRSC Corps Marshal has served the Corps in various capacities.
The FRSC boss has served as an Accountant with the Kaduna Sector Command and Zonal Accountant in Sokoto from 1992 – 1996.
He was also appointed as Head of the Finance Department at the National Headquarters, Abuja (2007 – 2010).
Corps Marshal Mohammed also served as Head of the Internal Audit (Corps Auditor, 2013 -2021)
He was appointed as Zonal Commanding Officer in charge of the FCT and Niger State respectively, in 2021, an office he occupied before his appointment as the Corps Marshal.
In further pursuit of academic excellence, the Corps Marshal acquired a BA in Business Administration from the Birmingham City University, United Kingdom (UK).
He holds a Master’s degree in Project Management from Salford University, United Kingdom (UK).
He is also a member of the National Institute (Mni) having attended the prestigious National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos.
Aside from attending various courses and training programs within and outside the country, Corps Marshal Mohammed is also a member of various professional bodies such as Associate Member, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
Others are Fellow of Internationally recognized Accounting bodies, Associate Member, Chartered Institute of Taxation, Member, Association for Project Managers, UK.
Also, the new FRSC boss is a Chartered Member, Nigerian Institute of Management and Fellow, Institute of Safety Professionals among others.
